2019 Annual Gala Dinner
VIEW EVENT DETAILSJoin us on Sunday, April 7, at the Skirball Cultural Center for a festive evening in support of Asia Society's mission to build bridges of understanding between Asia and the world.
Our 2019 Annual Gala features extraordinary honorees, whose contributions to high and pop-culture, business and sports have enlivened L.A., enhanced its global standing and generated goodwill on both sides of the Pacific. We're delighted to be honoring world-class athletes and youth role models - NCAA champion gymnast Katelyn Ohashi and Olympic ice dancers medalists Maia and Alex Shibutani, as well as artist and restaurateur Michael Chow, urban developer Goodwin Gaw, the Los Angeles Dodgers (represented by President and Chief Executive Officer Stan Kasten), and Christie's (represented by Marc Porter, Chairman of Christie's America.) The Gala will feature a performance by Katherine Ho, who sang the Chinese-language rendition of Coldplay's "Yellow" in Crazy Rich Asians. The emcee will be Tiffany Chu, a rising star who played the lead in Ms. Purple, Justin Chon’s latest film, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
Dress Code: Business, Cocktail or National Attire.
