HONG KONG, January 9, 2017 — In anticipation of the new U.S. administration, Reşat Kasaba explained the different perspectives of the current unstable situation in the Middle East. He discussed how the new administration could resolve the consequences, and questioned China’s role as an influential leader in the region. In particular, he foresees that as the world is entering a period of transition, there is a need for awareness of long-term consequences, before global leaders can take advantage of the opportunities to advance toward the right direction.
