H.E. Kais Darragi has been the Ambassador of Tunisia to the Repulic of Korea since 2023. Prior to his current appointment, the ambassador worked in Japan, the US, and the UK. He served as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in the Tunisian Embassy to Japan from 2015 to 2018, as the Deputy Chief of Mission to Washington from 2012 to 2015, and First Secretary and Counsellor at the Tunisian Embassy in London from 1999 to 2000.

The ambassador earned his master’s degree in English Literature and Civilization at the University of La-Manouba in Tunisia in 1989, and after completing a one-year diplomatic training program at the National School of Administration in 1991, he also earned the certificate in Diplomatic Studies from Oxford in 1994. He is fluent in Arabic, French, English, and Japanese.
