About the Guest Speaker

Dr. Kyoung Jun Lee
Dr. Kyoung Jun Lee is a professor of Information Systems at the Business School at Kyung Hee University in Seoul, South Korea.
He graduated with a B.S. (1990), M.S. (1992), and Ph.D. (1995) in Management Science from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). He also completed a M.S. and Ph.D. course in Public Administration at Seoul National University in 2003. He won the Innovative Applications of Artificial Intelligence Awards in 1995, 1997, and 2020 from the Association for Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI), and served as a visiting scientist and professor at Carnegie Mellon University (1995-1996), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2009), and the University of California at Berkeley (2010). He is the year 2017’s president of Korean Intelligent Information Systems Society(2017) and the current president of Korean Association for Business Communication (2019-2020).
He is currently the Director of Humanitas Big Data Research Center of Kyung Hee University, and the director of International Center for Electronic Commerce (http://icec.net). He founded Benple Inc., IoT & AI-based company, and Allwinware Inc, a patent-based e-commerce company. 
He received 2017 Presidential Award for his contribution to e-government of Korea. 
He was a member of the Government 3.0 Committee and held the position of Information Sharing and Collaboration Committee Chair. He has been also working as a head of IoT/IoE Division of the public-private partnership for e-Government. Dr. Lee was a Korean government member of the Strategic Committee for Fourth Industrial Revolution.

About the Moderator

M. Scott Orrantia
Mr. Scott Orrantia is an experienced global executive with over 20 years as C-level or Managing Director-level responsibilities leading global and regional teams with P&Ls in development, investment, capital markets and operations. Key skills include building cohesive and high performing organizations, growing markets and market share and managing change. 
He held leadership positions in some of the world’s finest real estate and building technology firms, including: Johnson Controls, Oakwood Worldwide, The Pinnacle Family of Companies, Clark Realty Capital, Hunt Companies and Catellus Residential Group. Core areas of expertise include business development, investment and capital structuring, product design, brand management, community relations, project team management, strategic business planning, construction, property operations and building management systems (smart building technology).
Mr. Orrantia received a Master's Degree in Urban Planning and Regional Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and BA from the University of California, Berkeley, Alfred P. Sloan Fellow with advanced training in public policy and economics at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas, Austin. 
Mr. Orrantia has 20-plus years of managing large-scale public-private partnership (P3) real estate projects (development, financing, construction and facility management) throughout the United States and Asia Pacific, Sourced, negotiated, closed and executed more than $15 billion in residential development in the past 20 years. He is part of Board of Directors for the Pinnacle Family of Companies and Oakwood Worldwide, both companies being integrated global real estate operating companies.
