HONG KONG, October 5, 2016 — In this illustrated lecture, internationally renowned art historian Pratapaditya Pal talked about the close bond that existed between Ananda Kentish Coomaraswamy, the first curator of Indian art ever appointed in America and his patron Denman Waldo Ross. He noted that Coomaraswamy had played an enormous role at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and lamented that American museums these days only pay attention to contemporary art and neglect Asian art.
