HONG KONG, May 9, 2014 — As part of the One Step Ahead Series, Asia Society Hong Kong Center and J.P. Morgan proudly co-presented “Challenges to Global Competitiveness and Opportunities in Asia”, a half-day symposium today to discuss issues relating to global competitiveness in Asia. Among the panelists were Greg Clark, Global Fellow, Metropolitan Programme and Global Cities Initiative, The Brookings Institution; Liu Mingkang, Former Chairman, China Banking Regulatory Commission; Jing Ulrich, Managing Director and Vice Chairman of Asia Pacific, JPMorgan Chase & Co.; and Ronnie C. Chan, Co-Chair, Asia Society and Chairman, Hang Lung Properties, and other guests.

The symposium attracted over 170 business leaders and professionals in the region, so as over 40 representatives from 28 influential local and regional media outlets including Wall Street Journal Asia, CNBC, Xinhua News Agency, TVB, Cable TV, NOW TV, Phoenix TV, Apple Daily, Hong Kong Economic Journal, and Ming Pao Daily News. The content in the discussion continues to generate interest from media.
