I MAESTRI: An Opera Choir Performance
HONG KONG, October 22, 2014 — Being the first of its kind in building an all-male opera choir, I MAESTRI from Korea brought its phenomenal performance to the ears of Hong Kong citizens. Starting out with a solo singer who delivered an energetic Korean folk song in traditional male Hanbok attire, the performance included a rich variety of traditional Korean folk songs, classical opera pieces such as the Ave Maria, Broadway songs, and even the popular Chinese ballad, 茉莉花 (Jasmine).
With each singer incorporating interesting expressions and gestures throughout songs, I MAESTRI delivered a delightful and lively performance for the audience and ended with a standing ovation from the audience.
