He Named Me Malala: Advocating Girls' Education Rights

HONG KONG, March 6, 2016 - He named me Malala (2015) is a documentary directed by Academy Award Winner Davis Guggenheim, telling the story of a eighteen year-old PAkistani activist Malala Yousafzai, who was shot by the Taliban at the age of 15 for speaking out in support of girls’ education in Pakistan. The screening of the movie was followed by panel discussions about education rights. Fermi Wong, founding director of Unison Hong Kong; Dr. Chan Kui Pui, Principal, Delia Memorial School (Broadway); and students from Li Po Chun World United College shared their opinions toward racial equality in Hong Kong.
