HONG KONG, November 9, 2014 – Held on a Sunday, the Korea Family Day, which was part of the Morgan Stanley-Asia Society Family Day Series attracted enthusiastic response from the local community. Families enjoyed various activities ranging from dance performances, taekwondo demonstrations, traditional Hanbok dress-up, Kimchi making workshops, to story-telling of Korean Folk Tales. Professional artists were invited to perform the traditional Korean fan and drum dance, spreading an air of festivity in the atmosphere. Asia Society Hong Kong Center turned into a bustling hub filled with cultural exchange and fun discoveries of all things Korean.

A Hanbok Style Costume Facebook Competition was also hosted with more than 50 photo entries from families and participants have been actively promoting their own photos in hope of snatching the grand prize - a free Weekend Tea Set at AMMO for Two. Other than families, the Consul General of Korea also visited the event and enjoyed a tour at our current exhibition on the Dead Sea Scrolls.
