China's Prospects in Economic and Political Reform for a Better Economy
HONG KONG, November 6, 2014 — Taking a close look at China’s economic policies, the Asia Society Policy Institute reported insights and future implications of the Asian giant on the global stage. Speakers including Fred Hu, the Chairman and founder of Primavera Capital Group; Daniel Rosen, the Wadsworth Fellow at Asia Society Policy Institute and founding Partner of the Rhodium Group; David Schlesinger, the founder of Tripod Advisors; Weijian Shan, the Chairman and CEO of PAG Group; and Alex Frangos, the Asia Editor for Heard on the Street.
Citing factors such as demographic dividend, capital investment, and total factor productivity, Rosen discussed the reasons behind China’s rapid growth and possible GDP outlook for the future. During the discussion, panelists talked about the issues of state reform in order to continue with a growing economy and prospects of Xi’s governance.
