Asia Society Hong Kong Center Presents First-ever Family Environmental Day
Hong Kong, June 8, 2014 – Asia Society Hong Kong Center held the first-ever Family Environmental Day today, sponsored by Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML). The program attracted over 420 participants, and raised awareness of environmental protection through a variety of activities, including an environmental playground, urban farming, storytelling, arts & crafts workshops, drama performances, documentary screenings, a coloring contest, and a family poster design competition.
The Family Day was made possible with the help of over 40 volunteers, of which 24 were from BAML. Program invitations were extended by ASHK and BAML to 5 charity groups to join the day for free, namely Adoptive Families of Hong Kong, Hope of the City, Po Leung Kuk, St. Teresa’s Kindergarten and Yan Memorial Methodist Social Service. Thanks to BAML’s support, this first-ever Family Environmental Day was a huge success and we look forward to bringing more educational programs to the community and our next generation.
