Virtual Classroom Video
This online speaking activity was taken from Fangzhou Zhang’s Chinese class at Montclair Kimberley Academy in New Jersey. The online class has six 7th graders in a hybrid learning setting with students both in the classroom and remote at home.
In this TEQ Online video, you will see how Miss Zhang used Google Meet and Google Jamboard to organize the hybrid learning for a speaking task, and how the students communicated, socialized, and collaborated with each other in the virtual learning setting. Miss Zhang has successfully demonstrated how to use technology and learning activities to connect the students in the classroom with the ones at home and enable them to work together similar to the way they do in a regular classroom.
