Lake Dai is a venture investor, an AI Professor, and a seasoned operator in technology. She is Founder and Managing Partner of Sancus Ventures, a venture firm focused on early-stage investments in software infrastructure of AI and Blockchain.  
 
Dai began her early career in product and engineering. After two years of product marketing experience at Apple, she decided to join the infant-stage internet industry in 1999 and led the product team at Alibaba as employee #84. She and her team built the Alibaba B2B marketplace, a $1.2B business, from the ground up, and drove new product innovations such as Auction, Travel, and Messenger. 
 
After Alibaba, she joined Yahoo! in 2002 and grew Yahoo!'s market share from 7% to 23% in a quarter. In 2004, Dai joined Overture and moved to the US. After Overture was acquired by Yahoo! for $1.63B, she rejoined Yahoo! and led the global partnership product solution. She has launched operations in China, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, India, and Israel throughout her career at Overture, Yahoo!, and various technology startups. 
 
After 20 years of operation roles, Dai wanted to explore new ways to share her knowledge and scale her impact to more companies. She decided to become a VC to invest and grow early-stage tech companies and a professor teaching the young generation Applied AI at Carnegie Mellon University. 
 
Dai has served on the boards of various private tech companies in the fields of autonomous driving, neurotech, and bioinformatics. She is a Board Governor and member of the Audit & Risk Committee and the Lab & Research Committee of GIA, the largest gem and jewelry research, education, and laboratory services organization in the world. She also serves on the board of Kubit which provides cloud-native product analytics platform built for product and data teams. 
 

Dai is dedicated to making a positive impact in the tech industry and is involved in several non-profit organizations. She served as Chairwoman of HYSTA, one of the largest non-profit organizations empowering Chinese American tech founders, and is a member of the executive team of Stanford Women on Boards, leading the technology experience group with over 600 members of board directors and candidates. 
 
Dai holds an MBA from the University of Southern California, a B.S. in Economics from Beijing International Studies University, and has studied in the Computer Science MS program at Stanford University. She is the inventor of 5 U.S. patents in search algorithms, recommendation algorithms, and text tokenization. 

Nadia Lee, renowned in the fashion industry, established Adia Kibur in 1997 and is CEO of Kollectin. Her first foray into fashion transformed Adia Kibur into a prominent jewelry brand, celebrated for its modern designs and wide availability in over 5,000 upscale boutiques, including luxury retailers like Neiman Marcus. Furthermore, she expanded it into a full-service private label fulfillment company, serving major retailers such as Macy’s, Nordstrom, and Stitchfix.

In 2018, Lee introduced Kollectin, an AI-powered fashion platform, revolutionizing women's approach to entrepreneurship in fashion retail. It allows for easy setup of personalized online stores, empowering users to become micro-entrepreneurs. Kollectin provides tools to build fashion empires, ensuring a turnkey solution from sourcing to customer service, and boosts sales through its AI-powered personal shopper chat application.

Lee’s understanding of consumer behavior and innovative mindset have been crucial to Kollectin’s success, making it a unique platform connecting consumers, brands, and women micro-entrepreneurs. Patrick Lee is an entrepreneur focused on the intersection of tech+entertainment best known for being a Co-Founder & the founding CEO of Rotten Tomatoes (rottentomatoes.com), a leading entertainment website focused on movie reviews and news. He is a Co-Founder & Managing Partner of PKO Investments, a syndicate of notable investors investing in the next generation of founders at the intersection of tech & entertainment. He is an active advisor to a number of startups and also mentored and/or supported programs at 500 Startups, SOSV, Berkeley SkyDeck, Blue Startups, Founder Institute, and more. Lee holds a BA in Cognitive Science from the University of California at Berkeley.

Ted Li currently leads the AI team at Second Dinner, where he's working with his team to tackle emerging AI challenges and applications to transform the way games are developed and experienced. His focus is on finding real world applications of cutting edge AI technology and bringing them to life. Before Second Dinner, Li spent most of his time working on applications of deep reinforcement learning. At Riot Games, he trained AI to help balance, design, and understand the games in ways that would change how designers could create content and games. He also worked closely with DeepMind at Google to build an adaptive controls platform to optimize building operations and reduce energy consumption and emissions overall. Most recently, Li worked as the VP of Data at Blitz App, where he used machine learning and AI to create a personalized coaching experience for gamers around the world. Li received his master's degree in computer science from Stanford University.

Rebecca Liao is Co-Founder and CEO at Saga, a Web3 protocol for launching the next 1000 chains in the multiverse. The Saga platform allows developers to automatically spin up parallelized and interoperable dedicated chains that elastically scale with their Web3 application needs.  
  
She is also a Co-Founder, Advisor and former COO at Skuchain, a currency agnostic blockchain for global trade and a World Economic Forum Tech Pioneer for 2019. In 2020, the World Trade Organization named Skuchain one of the top three blockchain companies in trade and supply chain finance. Under her leadership, Skuchain’s platform grew to $5 billion+ in annual volume.   
  
She is currently Advisor to Sommelier Protocol, where she is designing their DAO to optimize for governance, platform growth & regulatory compliance. She is also a Fellow at the Stanford Program in Law, Science and Technology, where she produces and hosts the #global-public-policy podcast. 

Holly Liu co-founded the unicorn mobile gaming company Kabam, that made games with Hollywood IP, such as Marvel, The Hobbit, Star Wars, Transformers, The Hunger Games and many more. In 2017, Kabam sold to Netmarble and FoxNext. After exiting, Liu was a Visiting Partner at Y Combinator, an early stage accelerator that has birthed companies like Twitch, Airbnb, Dropbox and many others. 

She now runs a startup with a curated community in fandom with Patrick Lee (founder and former CEO of Rotten Tomatoes , Kun Gao (founder and former CEO of Crunchyroll) and Kevin Lin (founder of Twitch). Together with this team and community, we have invested in over 30 startups as PKO Investments.  

Kat Mañalac is the Head of Outreach at Y Combinator (YC). YC is a startup accelerator that funds early stage startups and helps them as they grow. Since 2005, over 4000 companies have gone through the YC program including Airbnb, DoorDash, and Coinbase. Previously, Mañalac was Chief of Staff to Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of reddit and investor. Prior to that, she was at WIRED Magazine. Kat graduated from Northwestern University, grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, and was born in Manila, Philippines. 

Chris Mattmann is an international expert in AI and machine learning, author of Machine Learning with TensorFlow 2ed. As a Chief Technology and Innovation Officer, his work has helped NASA explore space, and helped journalists and governments track international financial crime amongst the world’s elite across the globe.

He is best known for a 23-year career inventing the most downloaded software on the planet creating technology that powers all the data systems in the industry. Tika, the “digital babel fish” is the key technology that solved the Panama Papers and won the Pulitzer Prize in journalism in 2017. 

Bennett Pozil is a leading expert on U.S.-China cross-border entertainment financing and is the head of East West Bank’s Corporate Banking. Since 2011, his team has made over $4 billion in loans to finance the production and distribution of content in the U.S. and China, establishing the bank’s unique, significant presence in both markets. East West Bank has created relationships with Chinese studios, including Bona Film Group, Perfect World, Hunan Broadcasting and Alibaba Pictures. Pozil’s team also works with notable U.S. digital-media clients, including Scopely, Wondery, and Skybound. Over his career, Pozil has structured the financing of hundreds of films, including Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Hero, Fearless and Lost in Translation. He is listed on the Variety500, is a frequent speaker on cross-border film partnerships at international film festivals and has been an adjunct professor at the Beijing Film Academy.

Stephen Saltzman has extensive experience in domestic and international transactions in the entertainment and media industries. He focuses on innovative and complex international distribution, co-production, and co-financing transactions as well as cross-border transactions involving the creation, production, financing, and/or exploitation of content, and brand building. 

Saltzman recently advised Chinese studio Huayi Brothers International, which co-bankrolled the largest indie film to complete production in 2020, Roland Emmerich's $140 million Moonfall. In addition, he also recently advised esports team TSM (Team SoloMid) in one of the largest sponsorship deals in the industry with the crypto currency exchange, FTX. Saltzman advises a broad range of clients across the media and entertainment spectrum, including US, European and Asia-based producers, production companies, studios, theme park operators, distribution companies, broadcasters, digital content companies (including esports teams), banks, film funds, directors, talent, and authors.

Fan Shen has over two decades of experience in the tech/gaming industry as well as professional services. She started her career at Lehman Brothers as an equity investor. After her MBA at Columbia University, she worked at Boston Consulting Group, advising business strategy for Fortune 500 companies.  Later on in Shen's career, she switched from professional services to operating roles. She worked at Riot Games (the developer of League of Legends) managing global publishing, eSports, and business development.  After Riot, she joined Amazon, leading APAC business development for Amazon Luna (a cloud gaming solution).  Her last role was the VP of Games at Dapper Labs, where she managed a $725m ecosystem fund to invest in web3 space. Shen's recent focus has been investing in various asset classes and advising gaming/tech startups. 

Katie Soo is an award-winning global media and tech CBO and  CMO with a proven track record for leading transformations, breaking trends, forging new technology partnerships, and launching large-scale, disruptive business models and brands. Soo is Senior Advisor to Newbury Street (NASDAQ: NBST) and Advisor to KiwiCo, after serving as the company’s first CMO, overseeing global consumer marketing across 40+ markets. 

She is the former Senior Vice President of Growth Marketing at HBO Max overseeing growth and marketing across brand, originals, and performance media. She led subscriber acquisitions, in-app editorial, consumer campaigns, social media, partner marketing, and retention strategies. Prior to that, she’s held executive roles at Warner Bros. Digital Networks, DC Universe, Fullscreen, hulu, and was early Dollar Shave Club.  

Soo is actively involved in startups, serving both as an advisor and mentor to founders and companies. She has received numerous accolades from Ad Age, Adweek, Promax, Webbys, Digiday and the Shorty Awards for her work in both creative storytelling and digital products. Most recently she was recognized on Ad Age’s “40 Under 40,” Business Insider’s CMOs to Watch, Media Play’s 40 Under 40, PR Week’s “The Innovation 50,” and was also named on Goldhouse’s A100 list honoring the most impactful Asians in culture. 

She is a West Coast native and sits on the Advisory Board for California State University Entertainment Alliance and serves as a member of Vox Media’s Brand Council. She’s also a Trustee of Asia Society’s Global Board and is the Chairman of Asia Society Southern California. When she isn’t working, Soo enjoys spending time with her family and supporting environmental causes.

Jessica Tams, has held a variety of development roles in the industry, including software engineer (Sierra Online - Gabriel Knight III, Gas Powered Games - Dungeon Siege) and producer & studio founder (Oberon Media - Xbox Live Arcade launch). In 2005, Tams founded Casual Connect, Gamesauce, and Indie Prize, and served as CEO of each. Tams is currently an Independent Director of Atari, Strategic Advisor for Manga Productions (MISK Foundation), and CEO of Seven Falls Game Studio.

Alex Zhou is a Chinese-born entrepreneur based in California, US. He is the founder and CEO of Yami, a private company that has grown to become a leading online Asian marketplace with over two million customers and over 300,000 SKUs of Asian snacks, food, beauty and health products, home appliances, books, and more. Zhou's entrepreneurial journey began when he noticed a gap in the market while attending college in the US, where he and other Asian students lacked easy access to Asian products. His vision to provide access to these products has resulted in Yami's remarkable success, which is backed by top venture capitals including GGV Capital, Altos Ventures, and JP Morgan. Joe Zhu founded Zenlayer Inc – The hyperconnected cloud compnay in 2014, operating more than 280 Points of Presence across 50 countries. Businesses utilize Zenlayer’s on-demand compute and networking services to deploy and run applications at the edge. his goal is building a platform to power a better connected world.

Zhu is the Sr. Vice President of ChinaCache International Holdings Ltd. He manages ChinaCache’s Global Business, Lead its successful IPO in 2010.

Zhu is a telecom veteran with over 20 years of carrier experiences in the US. Prior to working at ChinaCache, he was the Director of Network Operations for China Telecom Americas and has been overseeing its network operations since 2002.

He has a BA in Industrial Management from Donghua University and OPM from Harvard Business School.
