Meera Gopal is Senior Program Officer, Climate at the Asia Society Policy Institute. Her work at ASPI focuses on climate cooperation and diplomacy in developing Asia and its partners, with a specific focus on climate finance.

Before joining ASPI, Meera worked with the Legal Initiative for Forest and Environment (LIFE) as an environmental litigator and policy researcher in India. In that capacity, she worked on issues relating to access to environmental and climate justice across the country. 

Meera holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Law from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and a B.A. LLB (Hons) degree from the National University of Advanced Legal Studies in India. She is fluent in English, Hindi, and Malayalam. In her spare time, she prefers to go on hikes around the city and catch up on her reading.
