20 April 2021– Manila House and Asia Society Philippines hosted a panel discussion talking about the anti-Asian racism in the United States and elsewhere.
With participation of different Asian-Americans, including ballet dancer Stella Abrera; actor Dante Basco; historian and academic Vicente Rafael; Miguel Sangalang, interim director and general manager, Street Lighting/Public Works, City of Los Angeles; Marita Etcubanez, senior director of strategic initiatives and an Asian American rights advocate; creative director Marcus Teo; and Gordon Quan, managing partner at Quan Law Group and a trustee at Asia Society Texas Center. They discussed the ongoing and increasingly alarming Anti-Asian sentiment happening in the United States.
