Letter from the Executive Director
July 1, 2022
Dear friends,
We are thrilled to share that today, July 1, is the launch of our Asia Society Northern California Center as a new 501c3. We are very excited about our ability to scale, and that this transition marks the 25th anniversary of the founding of our Center.
We are deeply grateful for the remarkably steadfast support of our local leadership including our Chair Gary Rieschel, Honorary Chairs, Board of Directors, and Advisory Council.
Our team will continue to build on the strength of our Center’s content offerings and programs including our Seeking Truth Through Facts U.S.-China series, Future of U.S. and China conference, Executive Roundtables, Game Changer West Gala, Asia Society at Sundance, programs on technology, VIP briefings with heads of state, Asian Americans Building America, and our new U.S.-India Naren Gupta legacy series.
After two years of programming virtually during the pandemic, we are back eagerly hosting gatherings in-person in San Francisco and Silicon Valley, and continue to serve our global audiences with virtual events.
Our reach will continue to expand through our collaborations with our friends and colleagues at our headquarters in New York, as well as our 13 other Centers around the world, including our newest addition in Paris.
Thank you for staying with us as we diligently work to further our mission to navigate shared futures for Asia and the world across policy, arts and culture, education, sustainability, business, and technology.
Please join us at our upcoming events! We look forward to seeing you in-person.
Best,
Margaret Conley
