VIEW EVENT DETAILS
Energy efficiency is one of the world’s best untapped energy resources - improving efficiency helps protect the environment while simultaneously providing valuable cost savings.
In an exciting step forward, the City of San Francisco recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with China’s National Development and Reform Commission to promote energy efficiency investments and cooperation between San Francisco and China. Leading this effort was the city’s public-private China-US partnership organization, ChinaSF, while implementation will be spearheaded by the San Francisco Department of Environment.
Asia Society is pleased to support this program organized by the China-U.S. Energy Efficiency Alliance and the U.S. Commercial Service. Hear from guest experts, ask questions, and network with representatives of industry, government, and nonprofits who have an interest in energy efficiency and cooperation with China. Our guest speakers will explore the key objectives of the new MOU, how local companies could be involved, and what special challenges there are to doing business with China in the realm of energy efficiency products and services.
