Event Recap: Innovate Responsibly: A.I. Regulation in Silicon Valley & Asia
On February 20, 2024, Asia Society hosted a panel discussion called "Innovate Responsibly: A.I. Regulation in Silicon Valley & Asia". She also emphasized the necessity of utilizing market incentives to ensure the safe implementation of AI technologies by firms. John Cabeca highlighted the complexity companies face in navigating AI regulations due to the existence of divergent regulatory bodies. Alice Hunt Friend stressed the significance of balanced regulation to foster trust in AI while encouraging its development. Ganapathy Krishnan pointed out India's development strategy of standardizing industries and placing less prescriptive regulations on firms to promote industrial growth.
