Antara Ganguli (Class of 2014)
Antara Ganguli, Director at the the UN Girl's Education Initiative works towards developing and delivering programmes for gender equality and women's empowerment. Currently as the director of UNGEI she works with governments, NGOs, multilaterals, on-the-ground education and gender equality actors and activists to end gender gaps in education, support schools and children of all genders to become champions for gender equality.
She has been a lifelong advocate for women and children, and has worked with various governments, foundations and corporations on gender-responsive programmes and education policy in South Asia, the Middle East, sub-Saharan Africa and the Caribbean. Antara serves on the board of Level Up Village, a social enterprise that provides free STEM laboratory classes to children in low-income schools in India, Pakistan, Haiti, Nicaragua, and other developing countries and on the Leadership Council of Sadie Nash Leadership Project, an NGO that empowers adolescent girls in disadvantaged New York and Newark schools through leadership training.
