Ankit Agarwal (Class of 2016)
Ankit Agarwal is the founder of Phool.co, an India based social-impact enterprise. Phool.co create organic products from the flowers offered to the divine in temples. Their mission is doubly beneficial because it helps preserve the Ganges from flower pollution and provide employment to 79 under-represented women. Through their actions, they create systems for change and give hope to revive the lifeline of more than 420 million people in The Ganges.
Ankit is a Queen's young leader. In addition, he is part of a number of Fellowships, including Echoing Green, Young water, Gifted citizen, Acumen, and the Royal Commonwealth Society. Ankit holds a Master in Innovation Management and is an automation scientist by training. He has published over 17 research papers and Patents.
In 2018, Ankit received the prestigious UN Climate Action Award and featured on the Forbes 30 under 30 list. Ankit has played a critical role in addressing the monumental challenge of flower pollution in the Ganges. He has been successful in delivering wide-scale social impact through recycling, employment and offsetting of harmful chemicals in the heartland of India.
