In this Chinese class, Daisy Chang’s 9th -12th graders from the Lane Tech College Prep High School, Illinois, are learning the unit "Creating Chinese Buns and Noodles". How to organize effective and engaging practice activities for large classes is always a challenge for teachers. It is not easy to engage every student in a large class, however, the key is to make the activities learner-centered. In this video, we will watch some selected video clips of Miss Chang's Chinese class in Chicago. In this specific lesson, the teacher has used two student-centered activities to maximize students' participation and prepare the students for the final group presentation in target language.
