Yiwen Li

Yiwen Li is a seasoned investor and operator with a successful track record of identifying and investing in emerging technologies while developing strategic partnerships to fast-scale the business.
Li is currently the Head of Venture and Strategic Investments at Bayview Development Group, a Silicon Valley based private investment firm with diversified exposure to real estate, private equity, and venture capital. She is responsible for the company’s venture investment strategy and started the AI for Impact initiative. Before her current role, Li was the Principal of Alumni Ventures, responsible for end-to-end multi-stage investments focused on healthcare and blockchain. She was Director for Corporate Strategy and Business Development at Masimo (Nasdaq: MASI). She built an innovation pipeline in telehealth, data analytics and led the business development in APAC and Europe. She was Director for Corporate Development at NantHealth (Nasdaq: NH), where she established the international business presence for the company. Li started her career at Capital Group in equity research and wealth management.
Li serves on the board of Give2Asia, where she is the chairwoman of the finance committee and a member of the investment committee. She is an advisory board member of C-Sweet. Li is the co-chair of the “Asian Women Empowered” initiative with the Asia Society. She was recognized as the “Top 50 Women in 2019” and the “Most Inspirational Women in Web 3”. Li is also the author of one of the best sellers “Make the World Your Playground”, inspiring women to find their unique path. She is a frequent speaker on innovation and emerging technology trends.
Li holds a Master’s degree from London School of Economics, a second Master’s from University of Vienna, and a venture capital certificate from UC Berkeley. She received her bachelor’s degree from Beijing Foreign Studies University. She is a recipient of European Union’s Erasmus Mundus scholarship. Li is fluent in Mandarin and German, worked and lived in Europe, Asia, and the US.
