Join Asia Society Southern California (ASSC) for a special lunch, in partnership with the Los Angeles World Affairs Council, featuring Elizabeth Economy, Director for Asia Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations.

Economy, a top China expert, will discuss the Chinese National People’s Congress decision in March to remove constitutional term limits for president, meaning Xi Jinping could serve as his country’s leader for life. She will also look at the changes underway in China, its efforts to recast itself as a great world power, frictions with the U.S. and economic successes and challenges China still faces.

Friends of ASSC are entitled to receive LAWAC member pricing of $75 per person. Valet parking is $15. To reserve your seat, please donate the equivalent amount to ASSC here.

If you have any questions, email Assistant Director Trisha Ong at tong@asiasociety.org.
