Given the significant role it continues to play within China, the Greater Bay Area and the global economy, how best to interpret what recent events in Hong Kong mean for the city, Greater China, and beyond? Join us for an evening to consider the facts and possibilities with the latest developments in this crucial hub city for Asia and the world. Clayton Dube, head of the US-China Institute at USC, will be moderating.
Robert Koepp serves as director and the chief economist of the Corporate Network in Hong Kong for The Economist Group, parent company of the weekly publication, The Economist. An active writer, speaker, and commentator, he has authored two full-length books, Betting on China: Chinese Stocks, American Stock Markets, and the Wagers on a New Dynamic in Global Capitalism and Clusters of Creativity: Enduring Lessons on Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Silicon Valley and Europe’s Silicon Fen and as well as translated into English a best-selling Japanese manga biography on George Soros.
