Christopher Vassallo

Christopher Vassallo is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Cambridge and an Affiliated Researcher on the Chinese Economy at the Asia Society Policy Institute’s Center for China Analysis. He was previously an associate at Blackstone, where he produced original analyses on geopolitical and macroeconomic issues related to China. He has served as a researcher at the Harvard Belfer Center and the Asia Society Policy Institute. His work has been published by The Marathon Initiative, The Diplomat, ChinaFile, US-China Perception Monitor, War on the Rocks, and The National Interest. His quotations have appeared in The Financial Times, The Telegraph, and The American Conservative. Christopher holds a B.A. in History magna cum laude from Harvard University and a Masters in Global Affairs from Tsinghua University, where he studied as a Schwarzman Scholar.
