Despite ongoing political and trade tensions between the U.S. and China, potential Chinese investors seeking opportunities overseas were assured that the U.S. is an open and prime destination for their business.

The message was delivered at an Asia Society event organized in partnership with the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai on November 15 and at Caixin Media Company's 2012 Caixin Summit in Beijing on November 16. The events featured a large line-up of business and policy experts gathered by the Asia Society from the U.S. and China. They also served as the official launch of the Chinese translation of Asia Society’s Chinese Direct Investment in California report, which was released on October 10 and 11 in the U.S.

Here is a roundup of Chinese media coverage for the events, with stories in China Daily, Morning Whistle, Financial Times, China.org, Caijing, Xinhua, China News Network, and Caixin. Click through to learn more about the events and the discussion.
