The Asian Heritage Street Celebration is held every year on the third Saturday in May in San Francisco, California. The Asian Heritage Street Celebration (AHSC) is organized by the AsianWeek Foundation in cooperation with over 150 organizations in the Asian American community. This year's celebration will take place on May 19 in Little Saigon.

A celebration of all Asian and Pacific Islander cultures, the goal of the Street Celebration is to promote and foster Asian Pacific American (APA) identity by bringing together community and encouraging the sharing of differences and appreciation of diversity. In six years, the AHSC has quickly become the country's largest assemblage of APAs, drawing over 80,000 people annually. The AHSC rotates its location each year, in order to showcase Asian and Pacific Islander cultures in various San Francisco neighborhoods. The first celebration highlighted the Japanese community in Japantown, the second showcased the Chinese on Irving Street in the Sunset District, and the third year paid homage to the large Filipino community in the South of Market area. Last year, the fair celebrated the Vietnamese American community in Little Saigon and this year's celebration will revisit Little Saigon.

There will be many local vendors and community groups hosting booths at the event. Activities will include everything from shopping to jazz & wine tasting, and there will even be a children's area with carnival rides. Asia Society Northern California's Young Professionals Group will also have a booth at the festival so be sure to stop by and check us out!
