Times Litfest Opening Night Celebration Dinner 2017

Guests enjoy themselves at the Opening Night Celebration Dinner of Times Litfest 2017

MUMBAI, 15 December 2017: Asia Society India Centre hosted the seventh annual edition of the Opening Night Celebration Dinner of the Times Litfest 2017. Hosted every year on the eve of the Times Litfest Mumbai – Mumbai’s biggest literature festival – the dinner brings together authors participating in the festival and prominent figures from Mumbai’s literary and cultural community for a night of dinner, drinks and banter. This year, the dinner featured a discussion between Meenal Baghel, Editor-in-Chief of the Mumbai Mirror, Plum Sykes, Fashion Journalist & Novelist, and Diksha Basu, Writer & Actor. This was followed by a wonderful performance by Mumbai based Indie fusion band Bombay Bairag. Notable guests in attendance included Swaminathan Aiyer, Indian journalist, Ravish Kumar, NDTV news anchor, Victor Mallet, Asia News Editor of the Financial Times, Alejandro Meyer, Consul General of Argentina in Mumbai, Deborah Treismann, Fiction Editor at The New Yorker, Mei Fong, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, and many others. The dinner took place at the Taj Lands End Hotel in Bandra, Mumbai.
