NCLC 2016: Chinese Food as Cultural Ambassador

CHICAGO, April 29, 2016 — At the 2016 National Chinese Language Conference in Chicago, culinary experts including filmmaker Ian Cheney, cookbook author and host of Sauced in Translation Howie Southworth, and TV chef Martin Yan of Yan Can Cook discuss the role that Chinese food has played as a cultural ambassador to the United States and how culinary traditions evolve as they are assimilated into new communities.
