Each year the Center launches multiple projects. In addition, the Center regularly holds events at the Asia Society's headquarters in New York, and at centers around the world, focusing on critical issues in the Sino-U.S. relationship in the fields of history, economics, politics and the environment.

  • Promoting an informed, nuanced, and vibrant public conversation about China, in the U.S. and around the world.
  • Air quality conditions in China and the US
  • A mosaic explanation of China's extraordinary rise, in the words of those who have watched it most carefully.
  • Rivers of Ice showcases the work of photographer and mountaineer David Breashears, who has retraced the steps of photographers of the past century to recapture images of these mountains and their glaciers from exactly the same vantage point
  • China's growth has required a concurrent boom in energy production; these photographs reveal the effects of the boom on the people and places that have fueled it.
  • China Green documents China’s environmental issues and its response to some of its greatest challenges.
  • Tracking the Beijing government’s quest for “blue sky days,” through daily photos and video.
