Global Council

Background

The Global Council is a distinguished group of senior leaders from business, the arts, academia, civil society, and other sectors who serve in advisory roles to help Asia Society trustees and senior staff planning and program activities.  For four decades, this important group has provided a unique network of high-level experts with on-the-ground experience and perspectives which serve to inform and broaden Asia Society initiatives globally. Originally established in 1979, the Global Council today numbers roughly 130 leaders representing more than twenty-five nations.
