Asey is founder and executive chairman of the Institute of War and Peace Studies (IWPS) and an Asia Society Asia 21 fellow who served as deputy for policy and strategy at Afghanistan's ministry of defense. Rubin is a senior fellow at New York University's Center on International Cooperation. Amiri is an independent policy and mediation advisor and a senior fellow at NYU’s Center for International Cooperation as well as a senior fellow at NYU’s Center for Global Affairs.
