Sam Wu's 'dolphin song' Onstage at Asia Society
NEW YORK, January 13, 2015 — Musicians Audrey Chen (cello); Andrew Funcheon (percussion); Jocelin Pan (viola); Emma Powell (violin); Thomas Reeves (piano); and Annie Wu (bamboo flute) perform Sam Wu's four-movement work dolphin song, which the composer describes as a lament for the Yangtze River's recently extinct white dolphins. Part of Shanghai/New York: Future Histories, a co-presentation between Asia Society and Performance Space 122 in collaboration with the China Shanghai International Arts Festival (CSIAF).
