HOUSTON, May 2, 2016 — Pixy Yijun Liao, a featured artist in the exhibition We Chat: A Dialogue in Contemporary Chinese Art, and Barbara Pollack, guest curator of the exhibition, discuss Liao's photography series, Experimental Relationship, and the contemporary art of her peers coming from China. Pollack described her exploration of identity in this new generation of Chinese artists born after the Cultural Revolution, then spoke with Liao about her experience growing up in China as a female and how that has influenced her art.
