NCLC Updates RE: COVID-19
In light of growing concern about travel due to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), College Board and Asia Society have made the difficult decision to cancel the National Chinese Language Conference scheduled for May 7–10, 2020. We made this decision with the health and safety of our members, students, attendees, and staff as our top priority.
All existing registrations will be refunded via the initial form of payment.
If you have already registered, here's what we ask you to do as immediate next steps:
Travel: Reach out to your airline carrier to cancel all reservations related to the conference. The conference organizers will not be responsible for any travel or out-of-pocket expenses.
Hotel: Reach out directly to the hotel where you made a reservation to cancel it.
The goals of National Chinese Language Conference are central to our work to support students, teachers, and educators from all backgrounds. We are exploring future opportunities to share the content from scheduled sessions via alternative formats, including virtual learning.
We appreciate your patience as we address this difficult situation. We will soon be in touch with all attendees, presenters, and planning committee members with additional information. We will also post updates to this page.
As we monitor the spread of the coronavirus and receive further guidance from public health organizations, we will provide timely updates should new developments affect any of our other upcoming conferences. Our focus is on the health and safety of our members, students, attendees, and staff.
