Japan Traditional Craft Revitalization Contest Award Ceremony

Asia Society Japan Center is honored to be partnering with JapanCraft21 for the Japan Traditional Craft Revitalization Contest, an important initiative to revive traditional Japanese craft.
The contest was launched in early March over 150 applications arrived for the initial round. This contest is not about the beauty of the works, but for the applicants to provide their ideas and visions to revive traditional Japanese craft. Ten finalists were selected recently and a panel of expert judges are reviewing their ideas to select the winner.
Please join to witness the first award ceremony to honor the recipient of the Ronnie Prize. The winner will be provided with both ¥5,000,000 of targeted funding toward achieving his/her vision as well as an active support of expert mentors in fields such as business, design, product development, and marketing.
The ten finalists will be at the ceremony to showcase their vision.
