Who We Are
At Asia Society India Centre, our purpose extends beyond India to encompass South Asia in all its dynamism and complexity. We bring together diverse perspectives on modern Asia to cultivate a nuanced understanding of Asia-Pacific affairs. Our mission is to cultivate Asia Competence for our members and the public: an interest in and comprehension of Asian culture, geopolitics, history and current affairs at par with the historical importance placed on the West. Our programming initiatives include art caravans, public lectures, business discussions, policy roundtables, leadership programmes, cultural summits, musical performances, film screenings, and an annual gala honouring Asian artists.
