Photos: Bloomberg News Accepts 10th Anniversary Osborn Elliot Prize for Its Reporting on China
NEW YORK, May 23, 2013 — Bloomberg News Executive Editor Amanda Bennett accepted Asia Society's 2013 Osborn Elliott Prize for Excellence in Journalism in Asia for the Bloomberg News series "Revolution to Riches." In honor of the Prize's tenth anniversary the award's first winner, Elizabeth Rosenthal of the New York Times, offered introductory remarks and presented Bennett with this year's prize.
Following the award ceremony, panelists Dune Lawrence of Bloomberg News, Financial Times Washington Bureau Chief Richard McGregor, ChinaFile Managing Editor Jonathan Landreth, and Garrick Utley, former anchor and correspondent for ABC, NBC, and CNN, convened for a conversation on the current state of Western journalism in China.
