Bill Rhodes and Alan Blinder: Can Leadership Get the Global Economy Back on Track?
With the triple threat of the Euro-crisis, American political paralysis and the danger of a Chinese “hard landing,” 2012 will be a pivotal year for the world’s economy. What are the factors likely to decide the outcome? Former Citigroup vice chair and Asia Society trustee William (Bill) Rhodes, whose recent book Banker to the World will soon appear in Chinese, Japanese and Korean, has five decades of experience with financial crisis management and effective and responsible leadership of global institutions. He will join Princeton economist and former vice chair of the Federal Reserve Alan Blinder for a discussion of what lies ahead for the global economy and what we can do about it. Followed by a book sale and signing.
