Spotlight on Climate Solutions: The Next Energy Agenda
SAN FRANCISCO, September 11, 2018 — Renewable energy experts present ideas for how to make solar energy technology the dominant energy source in time to slow climate change. Their presentations were followed by a conversation moderated by the managing director of California Clean Energy Fund, Danny Kennedy. Speakers include Bertrand Piccard, chairman of the Solar Impulse Foundation, David Mecke, director of campus planning at California College of the Arts, Zhengrong Shi, founder of Suntech Power, Lila Tretikov, CEO of Terrawatt Initiative, and Angelina Galiteva, vice chair of the board of governors of California Independent System Operator. This program was part of COAL + ICE in San Francisco, a three-week climate-related festival of dance, spoken word, food, family activities, films, educational programming, and creative dialogue that invites diverse audiences to participate in a conversation about climate change.
