Our Climate Stories: Stories of Islands
November 10, 2022 — In the second session of Asia Society Philippines Our Climate Stories, a panel of experts and storytellers talks about the distinct experiences of Filipinos living on small islands. Participants include Dr. Ma. Laurice Jamero, resilience collaboratory head at the Manila Observatory; Juan Miguel Torres, Team Salikhain Umalohokan Fellow of the Oscar M. Lopez Center (OMLC); and Candeze Mongaya, manager for Policy and Government Initiatives at Rare Philippines. OMLC Communications Manager Kato Sarmiento moderates the conversation. Our Climate Stories is a four-part series that explores four climate change impacts. It is a spin-off of the Oscar M. Lopez Center’s The Balangay Media Project 2021, which highlighted the role of storytelling in addressing climate change.
