Museum Salon 5: Cultural Heritage at the Crossroads
NEW YORK, December 10, 2020 — Three scholars in the art and architecture of Byzantine, Islamic, non-Han Chinese, and Buddhist traditions shed light on the wisdom from the Medieval period that is still visible today and explore the plurality of historical narratives. The speakers included University of Michigan professor of art history Paroma Chatterjee, Yale University professor of art and architecture Kishwar Rizvi, and associate director of the Center for the Art of East Asia at the University of Chicago Katherine R.
