MoKo Musik Showcases Korean History and Culture
HOUSTON, May 25, 2016 — Asia Society Texas Center partnered with the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea and the Korean American Society of Houston to present MoKo Musik in a beautiful evening of both traditional and modern Korean music. Short for Modern Korea, MoKo Musik is led by Haerim Lee playing violin and features a mixed ensemble of Korean and classical instruments. Showcasing the history and culture of Korea, MoKo Musik inspired guests with solo performances by Aram Lee playing the traditional daegeum and DoYeon Kim playing the gayageum, as well as ensemble performances with up to seven musicians.
