'The Greatest Risk to the World Order Is That Asian Countries Fail'
CAMBRIDGE, MASS., September 21, 2015 — Does the rise of Asia threaten the international order established by the United States after World War II? In this segment of a panel discussion convened by the Asia Society Policy Institute to launch its initiative The Rise of Asia and Its Impact on the Global Order, President and Chief Executive of the Center for Policy Research Pratap Bhanu Mehta argues that Asian economic weakness poses a greater threat to global order than Asian economic strength, while Harvard Kennedy School professor Joseph S. Nye Jr. says the time has come for the United States to learn to share power with China, India, and other Asian countries. (1 min., 12 sec.)
