January 14, 2021 — Asia Society Northern California Honorary Chairman and former U.S. Secretary of State George Shultz is honored in celebration of his 100th birthday. Asia Society Northern California Honorary Chair Jack Wadsworth gives introductory remarks, followed by a tribute video featuring former U.S. Ambassador to China Winston Lord, former U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Ambassador William Burns; and Dr. Kiron Skinner, Taube professor of international relations and politics at the Carnegie Mellon Institute and research fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institute. Following the tribute, Secretary Shultz participated in a conversation with former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger to discuss America's role in world affairs, a discussion moderated by Daniel Russel, Asia Society Policy Institute vice president for international security and diplomacy.
