Conversations France-Asie 2022: From Globalization to 'Global-is-Asian'
PARIS, October 13, 2022 — Asia Society France officially opens its center with a global launch titled Conversations France-Asie 2022 - “To Act in Troubled Times: New Perspectives from France, Asia, Africa, and the World.” In the fourth session, speakers discuss how philosophy and religion could go hand in hand; the challenges of defining religion; the role of science; the connection to nature; spirituality; and different cultures’ systems, societies, rituals, and traditions. Participants include Dr. Mohit Anand, associate professor in International Business and Strategy at Emlyon business school; Stéphane Arguillère, professor of Tibetan and religious studies at Inalco; Véronique Cheynet-Cluzel, vice-president of Association Ricci - Grand Ricci Dictionary of the Chinese language and president of Presence and Accomplitude; John Lagerwey, director at Ricci Institute France; and Jacques Scheuer, professor (emer.) of Asian philosophies and religions at the Université Catholique de Louvain.
