Coal + Ice: 2022 Highlights
August 2, 2022 — Here are highlights from the second COAL + ICE exhibition at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., staged by Asia Society's Center on U.S.-China Relations from March 15 to April 23, 2022. The documentary photography and film exhibition consisted of a vibrant six-week festival of climate-related events, including music, theater, panel discussions, art-making, and more. Participation by guest artists engaged local, national, and global communities, inviting audiences of all ages to join the climate conversation and seek new solutions.
COAL + ICE was co-curated by Magnum photographer Susan Meiselas and renowned exhibition designer Jeroen de Vries. It was led by Orville Schell, the Arthur Ross director of the Center on U.S.-China Relations at the Asia Society. (4 min., 42 sec.)
