The Bandistan Ensemble — Music from Central Asia (Highlights)

NEW YORK, July 14, 2016 — In this highlight clip, the Bandistan Ensemble, a group of talented musicians from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, perform a blend of traditional and contemporary Central Asian music at Asia Society. The ensemble is part of the Creative Voices of Muslim Asia, a multidisciplinary initiative using the arts as a springboard to understand the diversity of Islam as a creative inspiration. (11 min., 40 sec.)
