2023 GTDI Symposium: State of the AAPI Community in the U.S. and the Need and Impact of Proactive, Inclusive Leadership
NEW YORK, May 17, 2023 — A panel of corporate executives discusses the challenges facing the AAPI community and strategies for cultivating a society that embraces diversity, equality, and fairness for everyone. Participants include Bhavana Boggs, senior vice president and associate general counsel at Marriott; Shihana Mohamed, founding member and coordinator of United Nations Asia Network for Diversity and Inclusion (UN-ANDI) at the United Nations; Ravi Aurora, senior vice president of Global Public Policy and Indo-Pacific Policy Operations at Mastercard; TJ Castro Lim, managing director and head of digital platforms of U.S. Private Bank at J.P. Morgan Private Bank; and Handel Lee, international partner at King and Wood Mallesons. Asia Society’s 2023 Global Talent, Diversity, and Inclusion Symposium is an annual, signature diversity, equity, and inclusion event bringing together Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) talent, allies, business leaders, diversity, equity, and inclusion practitioners, grassroots activists, organizational partners, policy influencers and others to discuss how to best support the advancement of AAPI talent both in and outside the workplace. 2023 marks the event’s 15th Anniversary and the theme is Activating Belonging and Inclusion for All: Allyship with the AAPI Community.
