MELBOURNE, July 27, 2022 — Asia Society Policy Institute Political-Security Affairs Director Elina Noor launches her new report Raising Standards: Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Southeast Asia, which explores the objectives of a data-driven environment in the region. Noor was joined in conversation by her co-author and Pacific Forum Senior Fellow for Cybersecurity and Critical Technology Mark Bryan Manantan, and Australian National University’s Johanna Weaver and Sarah Logan. The participants discussed the concepts of “inclusive digital economy” and “ethical AI," the region’s broader digital transformation, and how Australia’s own digital economy strategy compares.
